Inner Mongolia Agricultural University(IMAU)was funded in 1952 and it is one of Inner Mongolia’s top universities. It is located in Hohhot and its campus comprised of three separate parts, including the main campus in Hohhot, the Vocational and Technical College in Salaqi and Science Park in Hailiutu. The area of the main campus is around 230 hm2. Till now, the number of students inside main campus is around 44000 and the employee is around 2700; over 200 foreign students is studying in IMAU now. 


Over the past 70 years, IMAU is not only focused on undergraduate studies, but also set up the postgraduate, higher vocational, and adult educational programs. The university set up over 90 subjects, including Agronomy, Science, Engineering, Economics, Management, Literature, Law and Art. Its also achieved a batch of high-tech achievements in the lactic acid bacteria, mongolia horses, wild camels, pasture, corn, sunflower and oats ects.


Till now, the university has signed exchange and cooperation agreements with 70 universities and academic institutions from 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Russia, Japan, and Mongolia. IMAU also works as a partner with foreign universities to establish China-Canada Science and Innovation Center and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University Branch affiliated to Malik Management Center. Also, the university set up “Belt and Road Institution” to facilitate the exchange between IMAU and the other universities which belong to countries located alone Belt and Road.
Up to now, IMAU has made the outstanding achievements in teaching, scientific research, cultural exchange and joint programs worldwide. IMAU will also continues to pursue development through talent training, academic studies and global exchanges, so as to educate the students became professional with patriotism and professionalism.
